On Friday February 5, 2016, EUCLID organized a well-attended and supported World Interfaith Harmony Week event at the organization’s Gambia headquarters located in Brusubi. At the high table (photo below):
(From Right to Left): Ms Maimuna Sidibeh Manneh, Senior Program Officer for Communications at UNESCO-Natcom office in Banjul; Mr James Gomez, Principal Research Officer at the Ministry for Higher Education Research Science & Technology (MoHERST); Dr Abdoulaye Barry (Lecturer at the University of The Gambia); Mr Yankuba Ceessay, Principal Assistant Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Banjul and also (part-time) Director of Inter-Governmental Relations for EUCLID University; Mr Mohammed Hassan Loum, Monitoring & Evaluation Consultant for the Climate Change Early Warning Project Phase 2 under the Department of Water Resources in Banjul and also (part-time) Director of Admissions & Operations for EUCLID University.
For the Christian perspective, the lecture was presented by Mr James Gomez, Principal Research Officer at the Ministry for Higher Education Research Science & Technology (MoHERST). For the Muslim perspective, the lecture was presented by Mr Mohammed Hassan Loum, EUCLID Director of Admissions & Operations. The two presentations were followed by questions, answers and comments from the many attendants.
